Fishing in the morning at 4 AM
Then dinner on the boat it’s cooked by the men
Hands worked raw from line handling

No steak or pork chops if you’re lucky salt meat
Too many meals accompanied by beet

Ten in a room trying to get to sleep
No room to fart, you might get punched in the teeth
Your body cold under the sheets

Digging dirt to plant some seed
Have to wait months before a good feed
Every day fighting with the weeds
