I saw her one day standing at the bar
She was pouring up a drink and acting like a star
She had a blue dress and it was her birthday
It was no trouble to tell she was from around the bay
She came to town this morning 10:15
She was gonna find the guy of her dreams
But what she got so far was bad manners
The guys watched the game and no one asked her name

Then she started to tell them how to be men
But they looked away and started back at the beer
They should have known she was from Carbonear

Promised to take her around the bay
So they got married and bought a house
