This was my first attempt at recording a solo album. I got some things right and some things wrong. What was great about it was that I learned so many hard-earned lessons. It’s extremely difficult to not only write good songs, but then to sing and perform them, record and mix them, master and release them, is a whole other kettle of fish. On top of that, without a producer or other musicians to work with, you have no one to guide you through what’s working and what isn’t. I think most of the songs on this record have a kernel of something great, but they need to be reworked. Perhaps one day I’ll get to that!
