Lies lies lies

I opened up my computer to try and see inside
All over the internet there was nothing but lies
Everybody thinking they’re smarter but they’re all in a disguise
Lies lies lies
And I can’t understand what I’m hearing when I’m watching CNN
Lots and lots of talk with seemingly no end
There’s got to be a better way
A new day to begin
Lies lies lies

I was reading through the news all I got was blues
People killing each other and stealing their shoes
Taking food from children’s mouths and missing all the clues
Lies lies lies
And you don’t know what your seeing
You can’t believe the sights
It all comes as big news
Just one big surprise
But what if all you know is just one big lie
Lies lies lies

I’m trying to understand is there anything I can do
Sometimes I’m feeling hopeless yes you know it’s blue
With everything that's wrong global warming coming true
Lies lies lies
So I can’t believe the politicians
They are still playing the game
They have to do something different or everything will stay the same
But I know it won’t help to shift to them the blame
Lies lies lies

If you’re sitting there on facebook and you want to open your mouth
You should think really hard about what you want to come out
Cause sometimes your helping and sometimes your not
Lies lies lies
So if you want to make a difference know what you’re talking about
There’s too many folks just spewing because they haven’t figured it out
We all can’t be experts
Sometimes you gotta stay out
